Heritage Hunt is a gated community of 55+ active adult homes in Gainesville, Virginia. The community was established as a golf course community with an 18 hole Arthur Hills golf course as its centerpiece. Most of the homes in Heritage Hunt were constructed in 2000 and 2001. Many of the homes have had significant renovation done by their owners over the years.
About the Homes
Most of the attached models of homes for sale at Heritage Hunt are the Aster II, Belvedere II, Oleander, Hickory and Pinewood models. Many of the homes are of carriage house design and have finished square footage ranging from approximately 2,000 sq. ft. to greater than 3,400 sq. ft. As attached homes, many of the residences are situated on golf course lots as well as on the corners of lots. Some of the homes are reversed to look at the rear of the home to back up to a pond, or to a Conservation area.
Amenities and Lifestyle
Two Clubhouses! Heritage Hunt has two large Clubhouses, each with separate dining areas and bars. Each Clubhouse has areas for meetings and events and indoor and outdoor pools. In addition to the pools, both Clubhouses have state-of-the-art fitness centers with classes such as yoga and other exercise classes. If tennis, pickleball, or bocce is your game, Heritage Hunt has courts for each. In addition to facilities such as those mentioned above, Heritage Hunt also has walking paths and an 18 hole golf course with pro shop. Heritage Hunt has over 100 clubs for people with various interests, such as card playing, books, health and fitness and travel. Many of the residents here were transferred to the area and purchased a Heritage Hunt townhome.
Shopping and Dining
There are a number of shopping centers and restaurants close to Heritage Hunt along Route 29. Residents can also easily access UVA Haymarket Health for medical care. Recent growth in the surrounding area has added a number of additional dining and shopping choices, many within a few miles of the community.
Getting Around
Interstate 66 and Route 29 are the major roads surrounding Heritage Hunt, allowing easy access to Washington, D.C. as well as to Warrenton and the rest of the Shenandoah Valley. Washington Dulles International Airport is approximately 25 miles from the community.
