Lake Barcroft is a popular community made up of more than a thousand homes that are located on or near a picturesque wooded lake in Falls Church, Virginia. This large lake offers five private beaches that are fully staffed by lifeguards during the summer months. The lake also accommodates not only sailboats but also electric-powered pontoon boats and other self-propelled boats.

Bordered by the gorgeous lake and all of its surrounding wildlife, the community prides itself on the numerous annual local events held there, which include a number of exciting parades and dazzling Fourth of July fireworks, as well as many well-organized social gatherings held on its many pristine beaches.
In Lake Barcroft, the lake and its five beaches are completely privately owned and reserved only for the use of residents who pay dues. Non-members are not allowed to use any of the beaches or be in the water unless accompanied by a resident. The lake is part of what is known as the Cameron Run Watershed and was named after Dr. John W. Barcroft. He was the owner and operator of the local mill during the mid-19th century that was located on Holmes Run.
