Pine Glen is a neighborhood of single-family detached homes in Vienna, VA. The properties are off Courthouse Road on cul-de-sacs including Pine Knot Drive, Scotch Pine Court, Pine Cluster Court, Grande Oaks Court, and Pine Bough Place. Pine Glen was developed between 1979 and 1982, and various styles are available. The houses have three to five bedrooms and three or four bathrooms.
One of the reasons people look for Pine Glen homes for sale is the neighborhood’s location. Although the properties are along quiet and tree-lined cul-de-sacs, they are just off Courthouse Road and close to Chain Bridge Road, one of Vienna’s major routes.
The residents love that the neighborhood is opposite Nottoway Park, which has a dog park, playgrounds, and various sports facilities. They also love that the neighborhood is close to shops, restaurants and transportation links.
A further reason people love this neighborhood is the individuality of the properties, as they are individually designed and various styles are represented, which means there are options to suit different tastes.
Although most of the properties in Pine Glen were built in the late 1970s and early 1980s, they are all individually designed. Some of the styles available in the neighborhood include farmhouse, contemporary and colonial.
A shared feature of the detached homes is outdoor space, as they all have yards, although these vary in size from one property to the next. The houses also have off-street parking on their driveways, and some have garage parking for one or more vehicles.
One of the reasons that Pine Glen is such a convenient place to live is the surrounding area’s excellent transport links. Those who use public transport can catch the bus from one of the many stops along Chain Bridge Road or Nutley Street. The neighborhood is also close to Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metro Station.
Those with a vehicle will also find it easy to commute around the local area and into the neighboring towns and cities. Chain Bridge Road is a major route, and Pine Glen is only a few blocks from Interstate 66. It is only a short drive to Lee Highway and Arlington Boulevard.
The closest shops are along Chain Bridge Road. Some examples include The UPS Store, Wawa, Beirut Butcher, Depaul’s Urban Farm, and Whole Foods Market. It is also along Chain Bridge Road that the residents will find the closest eateries. These include cafes, dessert bars, bakeries, and restaurants serving Mexican, Japanese, American, Middle Eastern, and vegetarian cuisines.
Pine Glen is directly opposite Nottoway Park, which gives residents access to all the park’s amenities and is close to Meadow Lane Park and several fitness facilities.
