This is the third article in my home staging ideas blog series. If you’re just joining us, you can check out Part 1 and Part 2.
Home Staging Ideas – Accessorize
- Accessorize your bathroom for a polished and inviting look. After you have it sparkling clean, put out candles, decorative baskets, and rolled up towels for a spa-like feel. However, don’t go overboard and clutter up the room.
- Create a serene bedroom. If your bedding is mismatched or outdated, invest in a new bedspread and some colorful throw pillows.
- Add a few accessories where needed, preferably in groups of three. They make a room more inviting. Vary height and width, but group them by shape, color, texture, etc.
Don’t Forget Your Home’s Exterior
- If your home’s exterior leaves something to be desired, potential buyers may not even bother to look inside.
- Be sure your grass is cut and add fresh sod if needed.
- Power wash walkways and siding, and wash the windows.
- If your porch has seen better days, take the time to stain and repaint the flooring. Top it off with a clean doormat.
- Use fresh greenery and bright flowers to add a fresh, colorful look that catches a potential buyer’s eye from the road.
