When You Find a Particularly Cheap Condominium, Be Sure to Ask About the Condo Fees
In my last post in this series, we discussed how some cheap condominium communities that have lower sales prices have very high condo fees. I sell a lot of condos in Northern Virginia, and I’ve seen some buildings that have condos fees as high as $900 or $1,000 per month, or higher! At that point, it feels like you’re paying for a second mortgage. If a condo is located in a luxury community and has a ton of amenities, paying higher condos fees is more understandable, but in a cheaper community that has simply experienced large increases in condo fees over the years, that’s more of a red flag.
