Getting a Home Inspection Before Selling – A Good Strategy for Dealing With Nervous First Time Homebuyers
The fact of the matter is that seasoned homebuyers don’t usually get too concerned when they’re confronted with a long list of items on an inspection report. They’ve been through the drill, and they understand that no home is perfect.
I would say that 90% of home purchases in Northern Virginia don’t involve properties that have major issues that come up during a home inspection. However, first time homebuyers are used to moving into new rental properties where the landlord has made everything immaculate before the lease terms starts. Some first time homebuyers are so nervous about the home buying process that an inspection report full of a ton of items could make them cancel a purchase contract, even if the home doesn’t have any major issues. Getting a home inspection before selling can eliminate at lot of these items that buyers could potentially become concerned about.
