This is the second article in a blog series about which home selling methods work the best, and which ones are less effective. You can read Part 1 here. In this post, we’ll be discussing some good questions to ask the next time you interview real estate agents for the job of selling your Northern Virginia home.
Questions to Ask Real Estate Agents Regarding Their Home Selling Methods
Here are some great questions to ask agents before your list your home:
- Does your agent have a great website, and is that website seen by a lot of people?
- Does your agent know how to do pay-per-click marketing? Pay per click ads are those ads you see on the top and bottom of the search results page that say “sponsored ads” when you type a search into Google.
- Does your agent know their way around Facebook marketing? A lot of people are on Facebook, and a lot of those people are first time homebuyers and buyers who are selling their property and moving up to another home. Today’s home selling methods need to have social media as a main focus in order to maximize marketing exposure.
In Part 3 of this blog series on home selling methods, we’ll discuss a home selling strategy that is increasingly less and less effective at getting homes sold, but interestingly (or not, depending on how you look at it), still used by a lot of Northern Virginia real estate agents.
Are you thinking of selling your Northern Virginia home sometime in the next year? It’s important to hire an agent whose home selling methods include a heavy focus on internet marketing and who knows how to leverage the internet to help you sell your property for top dollar in the current market.
