The Cherry Hill Historic House & Farm is located on Park Avenue in Falls Church, VA. It is a charming home straight out of the mid 1800s. In 1976 Falls Church decided to restore the old Cherry Hill farmhouse and fill it with artifacts, tools, and everything needed to run a home in the 1850s. The antiques are replicas of what might have been used before, during and after the Civil War.
Cherry Hill Historic House & Farm Visits
The home, barn and outbuildings have all been renovated, and the mission of the Friends of the Cherry Hill Foundation is preserving these spaces for generations to come. Cherry Hill Historic House & Farm is opened Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 am until 4 pm. The farmhouse is not open for the public to wander through on their own. Guided tours are the only way to see the property inside and out. Reservations are not required, but visitors should call ahead to see about openings in upcoming tours.
Cherry Hill Historic House & Farm offers a wide variety of private tours and events. During these times the home is closed to the general public. Private tours, events, and school programs must be booked well in advance of the scheduled date. The admission for tours is free. However, most events will have a small fee, and rental fees (for large gatherings) are affordable.
Regular events are held often at the farmhouse. It is advised to check their online site to see what is currently being offered. A monthly calendar is available that shows dates and times of reserved events. Planning ahead ensures your experience at the Cherry Hill farmhouse is as special as the contents in and on the property.
