The Children's Science Center Lab in Fairfax, VA offers children of all ages hands on learning in various STEM areas. This world-class center has many traditional museum exhibits, and a wide variety of experiences to be discovered throughout the exploration center.
Children's Science Center Lab Environment
Children learn about community, innovation, excellence and leadership in a fun learning environment at the Children's Science Center Lab. The main purpose of the Science Center is to show children the many areas involved in STEM, and hopefully create a spark that motivates some of these children to get into this field as adults. The Children's Science Center Lab is open every day from 10 am until 6 pm. Fees range from $12. and down; group fees are less than individuals.
One thing children love are the various activities and events tailored to their needs. The Science center hosts camps, birthday parties, workshops, classes, preschool programs, spirit night for groups and families. There are always events going on, and field trips taking place, at the Science Center.
Most museums, memorials and attractions in the Fairfax county area are tailored more to older children and adults. The Children's Science Center Lab is designed especially for children. In fact, adults not accompanied by a child are not admitted to the center, unless they are part of a tour group. Here, children are free to explore areas of science that appeal to them.
