Ballston Mall is located in Arlington, VA at the corner of Wilson Boulevard and Glebe Road. It was one of the first suburban shopping centers in the United States. Today, the shopping center is in the midst of a major redevelopment - the Ballston mall renovation will transform it into a modern shopping center with open-air plazas. Upon completion, it will become known as Ballston Quarter.

Currently, the mall is home to a wide array of shops, salons, and restaurants. They include national chains such as Macy’s, CVS Pharmacy, McDonald's, and Chik-fi-a, as well as locally owned stores, including Shavers and More, Seemi Bags & Gifts, and Shiki Sushi Korean Japanese Fusion. Although new tenants haven’t been announced, the mall owners are intent on attracting both national and regional retailers to fill the more than 530,000 sq. ft. the mall occupies when renovations are complete.
The Regal Ballston Common Stadium 12, which shows the newest releases and is also undergoing extensive renovations, can also be found in the mall. Renovations include the introduction of king size plush recliners equipped with footrests.
Finally, located atop the mall is Kettler Capitals Iceplex, a state-of-the-art ice skating rink where the Washington Capitals practice and play. In addition, the public is invited to put their own ice skating skills to the test or engage in private or group ice skating lessons at the Iceplex.
Although Ballston mall has some fun things to offer visitors now, it will have much more when its transformation to Ballston Quarter is complete.
