Thinking of buying investment properties in Northern Virginia? Great! Real estate in this area has a lot to offer in the way of a hot rental market and strong potential for future property appreciation. On average, Northern Virginia property value appreciation is so robust compared to many other areas that even if you don’t make a lot of profit every month with your rental income, it’s pretty amazing to own an extra asset and have your mortgage being paid off by tenants over the years (Not so amazing if you’re a tenant, which is why if you’re currently renting, you should think about buying a home or condo and having your monthly housing payments go toward building equity! But this is the subject for another blog post :) ).
However, it’s important to make some basic preparations to set yourself for the best possible chance of success over the long term.
