Situated on nine beautiful acres, about a mile from historic Leesburg is Dry Mill Vineyards and Winery. Open since 2009, it is one of the newest wineries in Loudoun County.

Old World Charm

They combine the latest winemaking techniques with traditional grape varietals and a passion for wines to create deeply satisfying vintages, like their 2009 Merlot, that even the most discerning wine aficionado is sure to love.

Their tasting room is housed in a stable and barn that once held the dogs and horses of the Loudoun Hunt Club. Together with their daughter Michelle Pizzarello, the owners (Nancy and Dean Vanhuss) painstakingly restored this prominent location, using most of the original wood. In this way, they were able to capture the spirit of the stable, giving the winery a rustic feel that few can match. Added to this are a tin roof, exposed wood beams, a fireplace, and sconces that provide a warm and more modern setting. When in Virginia's Wine Country, be sure to stop by to see why they call their winemaking, a labor of love.
