It was regarded as a very accessible community, as it was bordered by two highways – Gebe Road and Columbia Pike. Trolley service to Rosslyn, Washington, and Alexandra was under a mile down Columbia Pike. Plus, transportation was improved even more when Bob May and his wife began a bus service that operated between Barcroft and Washington.
