This is the second post in a three-part blog series on the Northern Virginia condo market. You can also read Part 1 on my blog.
So what does all this demand mean for the Northern Virginia condo market? It means that when you go to sell your condo in the future and move up to a townhome or single family home, it’s very easy to find buyers for your condo. This is the main reason why condos are such good investments in this area.
Buying a Northern Virginia Condo is a Good Investment
If you told me you were going to buy a condo for a great price in an area of the country that had a much smaller population and a weaker job market, I would tell you to think twice about your decision. However, in an area like Northern Virginia, buyers will always be looking for condos a) because they want to own a property close to D.C. and b) because many people simply cannot afford townhomes and single family homes in this area. Two of the most important things to consider when purchasing real estate are a) How salable will the property be in the future and b) Will the property likely experience healthy appreciation? Buying a Northern Virginia condo gives you both a property that is salable and a property that will likely experience a good appreciation rate over time.
Have you thought about which are your favorite condo communities in Northern Virginia (link)? I have a lot of articles on my website that focus on various communities in the area, so use my site as a resource to learn about which community is right for you.
