What is a listing agent? Someone recently asked me this question, so I thought I’d write a blog post about it. A listing agent is a real estate agent who is hired by a homeowner to sell their home.
What is a Listing Agent, and What Kind of Responsibilities do They Have?
A good listing agent works hard to get your home sold, and advises you on every step in the home selling process. These steps include:
- Helping you get your home ready to put on the market.
- Giving you a sense of which home improvement projects are worth taking care of before you sell, and which are better to hold off on.
- Connecting you with professional home staging advice, if you want it (My listing services always feature free advice from a home design/staging consultant).
- Taking care of professional photography to showcase your home in the best light possible (My listing services always include free professional property pictures).
Read Part 2 of my blog series, “What is a listing agent?” We’ll get into even more detail about the steps a good agent will take to get your home sold for top dollar.
