Portner House Condos for Sale Portner House, also known as Portner's Landing, is a condominium community located along St. Asaph Street in Alexandria, Virginia. There are 92 units in total located in 20, fur story brick town houses, in what is called the Brewery, and 36 condominium units in what is referred to as Portner House. These properties were constructed between 1998 to 1999, where renovation and construction of the town homes and condos took place, with the aim of preserving the neighborhood's historic character. This included keeping elements of the original brewery that was established there from 1865 through 1916. The community is named after this brewery, the Robert Portner Brewing Company. The entire development spans a whole city block.
