History

Westmoreland Terrace was one of 136 buildings in Arlington that were designated as having historical importance. Built in 1947 for housing Fort Myers Military Bases' soldiers and their families, the complex was turned into a condominium in 1982. It is also the location of the world headquarters of the Ode Street Tribune. Westmoreland Terrace offers a layout that really captures Arlington County's rich history, with the surrounding area maintaining a large number of its original trees from before the buildings were constructed, some of which are over 150 years old. It is well managed and maintained with a community that has been thriving for more than 60 years.
